Military Veteran and USCG Captain
Capt. Robert Williams
I am a United States Coast Guard–certified captain with nearly two decades of experience fishing the waters of South Florida and the Florida Keys. Raised on the Texas Gulf Coast, I spent my youth chasing Redfish, Flounder, and Trout. Those early days exploring the canals, bays, and estuaries of South Matagorda County sparked a lifelong passion for fishing that began when I was just 10 years old.
Growing up in a small shrimping town, I was introduced to professional fishing early on. Between the ages of 13 and 18, I worked aboard a shrimp boat, gaining hands-on experience that shaped my future on the water. My path into guiding started under the mentorship of Captain Roy Tips, who helped refine my skills and deepen my knowledge.
After proudly serving in the United States Armed Forces, I returned to the Texas Gulf Coast and continued pursuing my calling as a charter captain. In 2008, I relocated to South Florida and established a second home in Marathon, where I’ve dedicated myself to targeting the region’s most sought-after species, including Mahi-Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, and more.
I take great pride in my boats, my craft, and the experience I provide. Sharing my passion and expertise with every angler who steps aboard is one of the best parts of what I do. Book a charter with me today and experience an incredible day on the water in beautiful Marathon, Florida!
